This is fucking disgusting. Blogger Raed Jarrar was recently harrassed by JetBlue staff for the “crime” of wearing a t-shirt bearing Arabic writing. When he stood up for his rights as an American, one of his questioners responded with the statement above. Sad thing is, they may not be wrong – remember that 39% of Americans “advocate that Muslims here should carry special I.D.” And now all it takes to brand yourself as a member of America’s new religion-based racial category (and therefore Evil) is the public display of the Arabic language.
