Girls aren’t funny, according to “Science” **UPDATED**
Okay. This is a good one. According to a British researcher JOKE article in a humorous year-end issue of the British Medical Journal, men are funnier than women because of testosterone, and this explains why there are fewer female stand-up comics. I’ll wait until you stop laughing, because that’s not even the best part: the “study” was conducted by riding around on a unicycle and keeping track of who yelled things at him:
“Very few of the women made comic or snide remarks, while 75% of the men attempted comedy – mostly shouting out “Lost your wheel?”, for example.”
I saw the BBC article, which treats it like real science, before I saw that Feministing had posted on the same article and the highly intelligent commenters sussed out that it was a nerd joke. Written by a dermatologist.
had I witnessed the study, I would have been classified as one of the humorless women, because I would have said nothing till he passed.
Then I would have said said to my friends: “check out the douchebag on the unicycle”.

I think it reveals more about the egotistical small-mindedness and immaturity of men than relative “funniness”!
in a group of people women are just as funny. BUT in the stand up comedy men are funnier, women just arent, i dont know why but whenever i see a women try she fails terribly. VERy few women in the world have pulled this off and its not because women arent funny, stand up is a different thing than being funny in day to day.

Sorry, women aren’t funny. I think I’ve met maybe 1 in my life that can make me laugh like any one of my friends can
Maybe it’s just because of my cynical sense of humor, but it seems like girls just laugh half the time to avoid awkward silences, when they’re talking to each other, and other times it’s just complete gibberish. Rarely do they come up with anything more elaborate than a one-liner and half the time it doesn’t even make sense, whereas my buddy and I can make jokes and expand on them for an hour straight, laughing the whole time.
In my opinion, women aren’t funny, but that’s just me. There are definitely some funny ones out there, maybe I just don’t meet them.
