Pot vs. wheat and corn
Wow: apparently Marijuana is the most important crop in the U.S..
U.S. growers produce nearly $35 billion (18 billion pounds) worth of marijuana annually, making the illegal drug the country’s largest cash crop, bigger than corn and wheat combined.
They seem to measure the value of the crop fairly conservatively – i.e. not at retail/street value.
I don’t have a lot of commentary on this, but it amazed me and I thought it might be of interest.
